The damp start to the day soon gave way
to bright sunshine and almost clear skies for the 11th Sleaford
Historic Car & Motorcycle Show. What are believed to be record
numbers of visitors to the event saw a full display of cars, bikes,
trade and charity stalls along with the Indoor Craft Fair, hailed
as a success by the stallholders and visitors alike.
At the end of the day the prizegiving ceremony honoured all the
vehicles taking part and trophies were awarded to those specially
selected by the entrants themselves as best in each class.

The winner of Class A, Pre 1945 Car, sponsored by HSBC, was Mr & Mrs Caunt's 1928 Austin Y Fabric Saloon, with Runner up, Mr Brown's 1936 Morris 8
The winner of Class B, 1945 - 1960 Car, sponsored by Malc's Body Shop, was Mr Geeson's 1953 Bentley R Type, with Runner up, Mr Smeeth's 1957 MGA malc@malcsbodyshop.fsnet.co.uk

The winner of Class E, Commercial Vehicle, sponsored by SAMS, was Mr Coulson's 1963 Morris Paralanian, with Runner up Mr Hind's 1959 Austin A35 Van
The winner of Class F, Pre 1945 Motorcycle, sponsored by Martin Youth Bikers, was Bob Kirchin's 1925 Raleigh, with Runner up, A Wareing's 1938 BSA C10
The winner of Class G, 1945 - 1960 Motorcycle, sponsored by Cawsey Motors, was Chris Rayfield's 1956 Sunbeam S7, with Runner up, Joe Rear's 1955 Norton Dominator 88
The winner of Class H, 1961 - 1975 Motorcycle, sponsored by Sleaford Chamber of Commerce, was Gordon Walsh's 1963 ASJ CJR, with Runner up Stuart Bidwell's 1975 Triumph Trident www.sleaford-chamber.co.uk
The winner of Class I, 1976 - 2003 Motorcycle, sponsored by Lincoln Cooperative Society Sleaford Area Members Group, was Mr Green's 1976 Suzuki GT 750, with Runner up, Mr Musson's 1979 Triumph Bonneville www.lincoln.coop
The winner of Class J, Combination or Trike, sponsored by Burger Bill Entertainments, was Mr Wood's Ariel Square 4, with Runner up, Mr New's Royal Enfield Combination
The winner of the Best Club Stand, sponsored by Agrifurb, was The Grantham Classic Car Club, with Runner up the Royal Enfield Club
The Best Custom Vehicle, sponsored by 7KS was awarded to Mr Bates' Norton, with Runner up Mr Warriner's Norvin.
Additional prizes of subscription were awarded by Morton's Motorcycle Media to the winners of the bike classes with an additional Best Bike in Show prize awarded to Bob Kirchin for his Raleigh.
The Sleaford Navigation Trust's Draw took place at the show. Details are available separately - all winners will be contacted.
